Additional Event Information
This page provides additional important information relating to the safe and proper running of the Heritage events.
We look forward to welcoming you to Brixham this weekend. There will be adequate space with rafting along the Town Pontoon for all the entrants. The pontoon now offers electricity and water; the Heritage Regatta committee will be offering 50% discount on mooring fees if you let me have your receipt and contact details.
Please let me know on 07484 150257 if you need any help on arrival.
Please register with me by 1700 Friday 24th September by texting the above phone number.
Boats currently entered: Amaryllis, Arriana, Chopsticks, Ellen, Falanda, Fly, Little Tern, Lowsee, Minx, Mischief, Roanna, Vigilance, Vivona. If you know someone else who intends to come please give them a hurry up!
Timescale for Saturday 25th:
1200 Skippers briefing on VHF channel 8
1230 Pass through outer fairway buoys and provide spectators with a ‘Sail Past’.
Pass near Battery Point prior to your nominated start time and identify your boat and giving the number of persons on board; it is anticipated that the start will be from the RIB acting as committee/safety boat.
1300 Vigilance will lead off the fleet. Please refer to the sailing instructions for details of your start, allowing 5 minutes between classes. Please keep clear of boats in earlier classes approaching their start.
Afternoon Sail in Company as per Skippers’ Briefing
1600 Formal sailing finishes. Skippers should inform Rally organisers when they cease Rally sailing for the day. You may, of course, continue sailing as you wish.
1900 Supper at Brixham Yacht Club. THIS MUST BE BOOKED DIRECT BY YOU ON 01803 853332. Although there is no formal supper as such the Jubilee Room has been reserved for Rally participants and it would be helpful if you could mention this when you make your booking. (Please book on the same number for Friday evening). As a courtesy to our chef please make your booking early in the week. We anticipate an evening of new and renewed friendships, some recollections of a summer’s sailing as well as a few beers!
Shower facilities are now open at the Yacht Club (a pleasant stroll around the Inner Harbour from the Town Pontoon). The Yacht Club continues to follow Covid guidelines, and encourages us all to keep safe distancing and good hygiene. Face masks are, of course, optional and you may wish to wear one until seated.
Please contact me on the number above or email me on this address is there is any further information that you require.
